Mapped drives and NFS mounted volumes are often user specific, so you must be running the Data Protector Express Administrator in order for your mapped drives or NFS mounted volumes to be recognized. You cannot back up mapped drives or NFS mounted volumes while the Data Protector Express Service is running. Backing up mapped drives and NFS mounted volumes is also prone to incompatibilities between operating systems, poor performance, and security issues. ![]() You will not be able to restore any applications backed up off of these machines.
